Join Gaada for our next lunch time artist talk with Riso des Bois!
Gaada is delighted to welcome Riso des Bois to give the first Lunch Time Artist Talk of 2025!
Set in the woods of the Belgian Ardennes, Riso des Bois is a risograph and printmaking studio led by artists Cé Simonis and C.A. Hiley. From their stunning location the studio produces richly enigmatic place-based work, filled with personal folklore. They can often be found taking part in indie publishing and illustration fairs across Europe, exhibiting and selling their beautiful prints, books and dreams!
Here at Gaada, we are very inspired by the stories they tell and the beautifully crafted publications they both make. Some of their books can already be found on the shelves of the Island Zine Library.
Themes of folklore, connections to Scotland and Norway and the rhythms of the natural world and the creatures within it can be seen charmingly reflected in both Catherine and Cé’s work. Their work sparks such excitement in the realms of publishing and Risograph printing – we hope you will jump on board and get inspired too!
So come along to find out about their practice, all things Riso des Bois and get some creative inspiration for the year ahead!
