Between October 2020 — August 2021, Gaada will award 6 Workshop Bursaries to individuals or groups based in Shetland.
These bursaries aim to contribute toward a more vibrant creative landscape in Shetland by alleviating some of the financial barriers associated with accessing creative development in the isles.
Workshop Bursaries can be used to support a period of making, which utilises Gaada’s visual art workshop facilities and staff support to create new work.
Applications are open to anyone aged 18+. We welcome applications from both professional artists and also people who make art in their spare time. You do not need any formal art experience to apply for this opportunity, and we particularly encourage applications from individuals who have previously experienced barriers accessing creative opportunities.
Applications can be made via the “Workshops” page of the Gaada website. We have tried to create a short and straight-forward application process to make this opportunity widely accessible.
